I was able to finish my snow castle complete with entry arch the day befor the rain is due to melt it all away.

We went for a drive today in the country.

My snow wall lasted a few days but, alas, the temptation was too great for some kid in the neighborhood. Half of it was knocked down the other day. I re-used the snow blocks to make a snow castle. This may be my last snow structure for a while. It is supposed to warm up and rain in a couple days.

With the rising temperature Kim and I were able to build a snow fort. I call it Fort Fairfield.

Yesterdays Ice Festival in Hamilton inspired me to try it at home. I learned that even in frigid weather it takes ice a long time to freeze if the water is over 4" thick. This is what I made with the incompletely frozed molds. I couldn't wait any longer because they are predicting it may warm up to freezing tomorrow.

We went to the Hamilton Ice Fest today. Cool ice sculptures. It was 13 degrees below zero overnight in Hamilton.
